Sainath's Advice on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 :

Hi,

If I were you this is how I would handle the situation:

  • Tell the interviewer the fact that since it is a small company you were working in the HR policies and other policies are not very strong and they have not provided you an experience certificate. It is possible that they may dig deeper just to find out if something had gone wrong but if you have stated the truth there is no need to bother.
  • Secondly, you should be able to showcase whatever work you have actually done during this 1 year. This is most important - from whatever you state, an experienced interviewer will know immediately whether you are stating the truth or bluffing. Once this goes fine, and believe me when I say that this will be the most important part of the interview, the rest should fall in place and will be primarily dependent on how much you actually know.

Regards,

Sainath S,
