Switch to software development from testing

 Career question asked by: Qaautomationtesting| Posted on: 5/14/2012 10:42:09 AM | Views: 982 | Points: 30 |  Print |

Respected sir.

I have been doing job in automation testing past one year. I was a fresher before joining that company.
I have completed my education as B.E Computer. Now I want to switch to software development

The reason I want to change the job is I am more passionate about developing the code rather that testing.
,
Please give me valuable advice.

Thanks

Sainath's Advice on Sunday, July 01, 2012 :
Hi,

My simple advice to anyone on this forum which I have repeatedly mentioned is "Follow your passion" . The point is, whatever job you do, your heart should be in it fully or at the least in some percentage of the job. It is indeed difficult to be in a job which you are passionate about 100% -  that rarely happens but if you do not like the job at all there is no way you can progress in that area. You are at a very early stage of your career and can make the switch. Check out which area you wish to step into based on your foundational skills and knowledge.

It is his life and he has to decide what he wants to become. Just as I got freedom from my parents, I believe Arjun should also do things in life that he wants to do and he is passionate about. If you are passionate about something then you don't feel the workload, but if you feel the burden of something then you realise it is not your passion and you must look at something else. So I just want to make sure that whatever his passion is I will provide him the necessary guidance and help to achieve it.
