I have completed BSc(IT) on 2010 and working as an associate IT Consultant with XXXXXXXXXX,bangalore.
My current job is IT infrastructure related. I did a course on .net(c#)windows development during BSc and completed some project works that time. That time i learned ASP.net too.
Now i want to change to software development domain and attended a corporate training and workshop on ASP.NET MVC3.
Please let me know if its possible to get a job in MVC3 without any realtime development experience, and what other things i need to know.

It is possible to make the switch provided you possess the skills. It is not sufficient if you just have theoretical knowledge of MVC3, you should be in a position to start coding if you are placed in a project, at least the basic stuff. You need to consider the below options:
- Try to make a lateral switch in the same organization where you are working right now. They will have your current performance record with them which will be of help here. If this works out, spend sufficient time in the same organization gaining development experience.
- If option 1 does not work, only then try to search for a break in Asp.Net in the open market. This is possible but not easy and you will need to put in some real effort and experience sufficient number of job rejections before you land a break. However, a start has to be made so this is the only path forward.
Hope I have answered your query.
