Rajesh's Advice on Saturday, June 19, 2010 :
Don't just move for the sake of moving unless there is a compelling reason to do so.  If you have decided and are interested to move to Oracle, be sure you spend enough time with it as Oracle is pretty huge thing to master (as I am not sure how much you have work on Oracle technologies).

Are you looking to be A DB developer or a DB administrator.  In any case get yourself certified in your interested areas.

Also, have a look at the DB developer/administrators profile.  You can get many online or google it.  Have a look at the job profile or the kind of work they do.   If you clearly understand that and are charmed by it then definitely move ahead with your plan.  Other wise rethink.

My suggestion is to re-evaluate your options as DB is a specialized job and the opportunity is less compared to other areas.  But you do have an advantage also, since you will be having additional .NET knowledge as well.

I am just putting down my thoughts so, that you can make decision taking into consideration various factors that my have an effect on your decision.

All the best.
