Sainath's Advice on Sunday, January 09, 2011 :

As much as you may not like it, you may need to continue in your current job for 1 more year or atleast 6 months just to maintain financial stability. The important aspect of changing into a technical career is to do with how well you use your time outside of working hours everyday and the whole of Saturday and Sunday. If you lack the self-discipline to learn on your own, join online courses where you have to login at the end of a working day and attend the course session. Attend the trainings on where you will gain knowledge from experts.Do a thorough analysis of JDs of what is expected in the job market, make a list of those skills, identify the next skill to learn and then start learning the same on a daily basis.Within 6 months time, you should be in a position to re-enter the technical stream.
