Regarding salary hike

i am having around 3 years of experience in java/j2ee,i am working the present company from past 1 year but package is very less .and i got 17% hike in june ,and this june they are again going to give hike.i think they may give 20% ,so i am planning to change my job now because now we are having more openings.but i am confused whether to change the jo now or after getting apprisal,please give me some advice so that i can get good CTC(my present ctc is 3lac).

The simplest strategy when aiming for a substantial hike is always to take up a new job after the appraisal. That way your effective salary hike in a year is the sum of the hike in the previous firm and hike offered in the current firm when you change jobs.
