A question on "forgot Windows 7 laptop password":
"Hi, Guys,
I have an old laptop that's not been used for quite a while. Now the
problem is I have a password set up on it and can't remember what it
is. I've tried many different passwords that it could possibly be,
but all without any luck. Is there any way I can get past it or reset
it directly? If so, can someone tell me though? I have some
important documents and pictures on there that I really don't want to
lose with a brand new Windows installed. It's currently running
Windows 7."
Are you suffering from similar problem? Or if not, just imagine that you forgot password on Windows 7 laptop, what would you do to rescue the locked laptop? For me, I will do the following things in order.
1st. Try if you can reset the forgotten password with hidden admin account.
In all Windows-based computers, there is a non-password protected
admin account, but with highest administrative privilege over the
computer by default. In most cases, we cannot see it because it is
born to be disabled. Well, if you didn't set up a password for this
admin account or if you ever did but you now haven't forgotten the
password, and then now you can enable this account to help you reset
the forgotten laptop Windows 7 password. Now follow the below steps to
enable hidden admin account and reset forgotten Windows 7 password:
Step1. Start your computer and press "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" twice when you see Windows Login screen.
Step2. Type Administrator in username box and leave the password column blank or enter the password if you have set up. Then hit "Enter" to log on.
Step3. Now you successfully accessed to Windows 7
system. And then you can reset the lost Windows 7 password as usual,
from: "Start->Control Panel->User Accounts".
2nd. See if you have a password reset disk to reset laptop Windows 7 password.
In all Windows-based computers, users are allowed to create a password
reset disk in advance to prevent computer from being locked for
password forgotten or hacked by others. If you were lucky enough to
have such disk, then do as follows to change forgotten laptop Windows 7
password:
Step1. When you enter the wrong password on Windows
login screen, Windows displays a message that the password is
incorrect. Then click "OK" to close the message.
Step2. Click "Reset password", and then insert your password reset disk.
Step3. Follow the steps in the Password Reset Wizard to create a new password.
Step4. Log on with the new password. If you forget
your password again, you can use the same password reset disk. You
don't need to make a new one.
3rd. Resort to a credible third-party Windows 7 password recovery tool.
To use a professional and credible Windows 7 password unlocker tool like "Recover Windows 7 Password" to reset forgot password on laptop Windows 7
can be the best way except the above 2 ways. This tool enables users
to make a password reset disk on a CD/DVD even if the password has
already been forgotten or lost. After that, users just easily reset the
forgotten password with the newly created password reset disk. For
