0 Seed Numbers 1)Seed Numbers are used to find if a given number is divisible by a prime number. Although the concept is not used often, for some number, the divisibility rules cannot be applied and seed numbers come in handy there. This means that when you give the same seed, the function always gives the same outputs in the same order. 2) Here's an example of a simple random-number formula int rand() { random_seed = random_seed * 1103515245 +12345; return (unsigned int)(random_seed / 65536) % 32768; }Yugandhar, if this helps please login to Mark As Answer. | Alert Moderator

0 The random function is more likely a pseudo random function generating outputs with a certain distribution (uniform, gaussian, ...). This means that when you give the same seed, the function always gives the same outputs in the same order. The seed is the thing which makes it "random". Time, ticks since startup, a sequence on the keyboard (with pauses between keystrokes), ... can generate a +- random seed. Another seed generates another random sequence. Please mark as answer if it is helpful to you.. That helps others who sarch the same..Regards, Vikash PathakYugandhar, if this helps please login to Mark As Answer. | Alert Moderator
