WCF has been implemented to overcome corba, remoting webservices in dotnet framework 3.0.

It has many features compared to webservices.

WCF is windows communication Foundation which offers more manageable approach to distributed applications, broader interoperability and support for Service orientation.

wcf is Soa based Plug & Play technology,it over comes the webservices,remoting drabacks,
In wcf different types of transformations avail.
for this u can go to msdn is beter.
