Hi, Frnds...

I have one project created by visual studio2.0. But now I want to run that Project in Visual studio 3.5. I have completed Conversion Wizard. But I couldn't run the project. The error comes like this while running the project.
Configuration Error:
<authentication mode="Windows" />

How to run this Program...

First of all it's not Visual studio 3.5 it's Visual studio 200d(otherwise .net framework 3.5)

You can use the convertion wizard which automatically shows while opening it with the Visual studio 2008.

Mark this as answer, if it is.....

Hi,

I have done this many times through wizard steps, but not get any kind of error in execution mode. Also without coverting your code you can continue with framework 2.0 in VS 2008.

About concern to your problem then can you post your project? It would be easy to check.

Thanks.

The error doesn't sound related to the conversion task.

Check before <authentication mode="Windows" /> in your web.config and see if you accidentally put some invalid characters, like caught your keyboard or maybe didnt close a tag?
