How to Download a file from server and save in local machine am using following code but it throws error

string filepath = path address;;

FileInfo myfile = new FileInfo(filepath);
if (myfile.Exists)
{
Response.ClearContent();
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" + myfile.Name);


Response.AddHeader("Content-Length", myfile.Length.ToString());
Response.ContentType = ReturnExtension(myfile.Extension.ToLower());
Response.TransmitFile(myfile.FullName);
Response.End();
}

it throws an error that
error parsing near %PDF-1.3 % Synchroni
