DOES .NET 3.5 SUPPORT HTML5 AND CSS3?

I TRIED TO HTML5 VIDEO TAGS.BUT GOT THE ERROR MESSAGE XHTML 1.0 Transitional DOES NOT SUPPORT..

Hi,
In visual studio, it will show error for the tag, as the tag is unknown to xhtml 1.0. However it will not show error in the browser.So you can see output with no problem.
By default Visual studio supports xhtml 1.0.You can install HTML 5 plugin for visual studio additionally. After that you can see in the visual studio option of HTML 5 along with XHTML 1.0 in the top left corner.

It is quite simple to integrate HTML5 and css3 with visual studio

Step 1: Go to visual Studio tool option

Step 2: Find extension manager

write down HTML5 and css3 and search it will take sp1 and css .... 500mb download

Step:3 Go to Tools > option >Text editor > HTML > validation marked it

Step:4 Now it will work

In Order to Use HTML 5 and CSS 3.0 you have to use Visual Studio 2010 with Service Pack 1.
You can download the Service pack 1 from Microsoft Download Center.It is free or if you have windows updates turned on then you can check for updates and see if it is listed in Important or Optional Updates.

This is in ISO Format just extract and install it.

After you download and install the Service Pack 1 you have to change some settings for that open a New Website ==> Add a new Form

Now go to Tools ==> Options ==> Expand the arrow of text editor ==> Go to Html and expand the List of HTML and click on validation ==> You will find HTML5 select it.

Done...

Now go the Web Form you have added and try

You will get the intellisense automatically and make sure that HTML5 is selected on the top
