ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(this.GetType(), "Alert", "<script language='javascript' alert('Horoscope details added successfully')</script>");

ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(this.GetType(), "Alert", "<script language='javascript'>alert('Horoscope details added successfully')</script>");

Try this code, the symbol ">" is missing in that previous answered code.

In Design...

<style type="text/css">
.modalBackground {
background-color: Gray;
filter: alpha(opacity=30);
opacity: 0.3;}
.modalPopup {
width: 250px;
height: 150px;
background-color: #076DAB;
color: #FFFFFF;
border-color: #000000;
border-width: 1px;
border-style: solid;
text-align: center;
cursor: move;
font-size: medium;}
</style>
