Prism is actually a Composite Application Guidance for WPF and Silverlight. Yes you can use this in Silverlight after its been released 2.1 recently (with support with Silverlight).

Check this link you will find everything :
http://www.codeplex.com/CompositeWPF/

If you are lazy, you can try this video as well:
http://channel9.msdn.com/shows/Continuum/Prismv2/

I hope this will help you.
cheers

Kalyani,

Prism is a Composite Application for WPF and Silverlight (formerly code-named "Prism")

You can get more details and its architecture from msdn

Also the following link will be useful for you.
