I think there is a bug with posting articles

I think I found a glitch but I cant reproduce it :)

I clicked on a link to post an article at the bottom of an article page and I ended up on this page:

http://www.dotnetfunda.com/post/?ReturnUrl=/post/PostArticle.aspx

I ticked the I agree button and clicked submit but it dropped me off in the homepage rather than taking me back to the url specified in the ReturnUrl querystring.

If I click to go to PostArticle.aspx now it just shows me the submit article form rather than redirecting me to the i agree screen so I cant do any further testing.

Is it a cookie, or a role I was added to or something like that?

If you visit:

http://www.dotnetfunda.com/post/?ReturnUrl=/post/PostArticle.aspx

click I agree and press submit

should it take you to the /post/PostArticle.aspx page? If it should then it is reproduced :)

It takes me to the homepage.

I was cautious about stating things as facts because I dont know what is going on under the hood. When I said I could test it I meant that when I visit the post article page I am no longer redirected to the "I agree" page because I presume my account has been flagged as having agreed?

Dear RtpHarry,

After visting http://www.dotnetfunda.com/post/?ReturnUrl=/post/PostArticle.aspx (after logging in) and clicking I agree checkbox and button, the user should be redirected to Post Article page. This is expected bahavior and for us it is happening.

If it is talking you to the home page, that might be some special scenario where we need to figure out (if you ever come to this scenario, you can give us the steps) and this is a bug.

Once you agree the terms and condition and your session is valid, it will not further ask "to agree you" and straightly send you to post the contents but once you have logged out and logging in again, you will be asked again to "agree" while posting contents.

Hope this clarifies, if not we are sorry kindly revert back.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Webmaster

I cannot recreate this now that I have logged out and logged back in.

It is working in IE as well for me.

The bug was happening over several browser sessions so I don't know what happened...

Guess we won't be able to solve this one now.
