Session Variables storage?

Where the session variables to be stored in the system? what is the maximum size of memory for session?
for ex: cokkies are stored in Temp folder like wise wr the session will be stroring?

The contents are stored at the server .
However the session is identified by a session-id , which is stored at the client and send with each request.
Usually the session-id is stored in a cookie , but it can also be appended to urls. (That's the PHPSESSID query-parameter you some times see)

actually i need wr the sessions are stored in server system?
cokkies are stroed in temp folder right?
like this wr the sessions are stored?

The "storage" of Session IDs and the associated session data (user name, account number, etc.) on the web server is accomplished using a variety of techniques including, but not limited to, local memory, flat files, and databases.
