IIS settings need to be made while fetching application logs from event viewer

Hi,


I am just working on a project,which is to fetch the "Application logs" from remote server and i have implemented this approach through the C#.
So while fetching this logs from Event viewer,Do we need to set any settings in the IIS ? Is it mandatory or an optional ?

because, am not able to get exact logs when am trying to fetch it.

Server is : 2008
and IIS used is 7.0

Kindly Help me out.
