What is the default unit for Css properties?

ex width="55"

Is this indicate px, %, em or something else ?

please suggest me!

By default the unit taken in px

But to check comptability for the browsers we can skip any unit for testing purpose

You need to use the percentage to apply every thing in the css and it will make the design responsive.
