creating SSIS package using BIDS

hello,
i want to create sql server integration service package by the use of business intelligence development server but dont know why this studio is not getting open from sql server group, only command window gets open and suddenly closed, whether BIDS is installed or not how to check it, please help me for the same

Hi ,

Do you have the administrator permission ?
If not, then you need that permission then only you can proceed further to work on BIDS.

thanks rabbil actually problem was with my server setup, i have solved by repairing it....
@Annaharris:- SSIS is a tool which is used to perform extract, transform and loading functionality, you can create SSIS package with the help of sql server management studio or by business intelligence management studio....
