In my application i have controls inside an update panel.
but the problem is jquery is not working.
inside the update panel i have gridviews in the application.
below code is not working
$("#GridView1 tr td").filter(":not(td:first-child)").each(function () {

var firstcelltext = $(this).parent().find("td:first-child").text();
var colindex = $(this).closest("tr td").prevAll("tr td").length;
var headertext = $("table[id*=GridView1] th").eq(colindex).text();
var cellText = $(this).text();
if ($.trim(cellText) == '') {
$(this).css('background-color', 'LightGreen');

var my_date = new Date(firstcelltext)
var current_date = new Date();
var ndate = current_date.getDate();
var date = new Date(Date.parse(firstcelltext));
var today = new Date();
if (date <= today) {
// alert("over");
$(this).append("<a class='anchor2' id='" + headertext + "-" + firstcelltext + "' >n/a</a>");

what i have to do to solve this problem.

Hi Baiju,

First you keep your code outside from updatepanel and try to see it is running or not, check it, what is an error?. Either in jquery or update panel.

Hope your are clear.
