In a folder you can keep one web.config file

Sagarp Good you can add more than one web config yes, but why would one have more than one web config ? The Author of the link you sent says

It helps us to have small and easily maintainable configuration files.


Is this the same reason as the poster of this thread ?

If you still want to do, just add only application Settings keys to the webconfig other than the parent virtual directory.

In fact you can put one web.config on each virtual directory, but it will always take the config from the original parent vdirectory. Dont put configuration blocks in the child web.configs. You can only add application keys to those config files.
