What does “technical assessment Interview” mean?

I am currently doing internship as a C# programmer. I've been invited by another company to come and have technical assessment for Junior C# Developer Position. This is what they said;

The assessment for (companyname) is a technical assessment that will focus purely on c# development and sql servers.

We're using Linq to SQL and I can connect to the database like writing Insert, Update and Delete procedures or writing classes.

I would like to know: What do they mean when saying technical assessment? will it be a project/task to complete using C# and SQL or will it be a test on paper or both?

Please help, I am confused.

Thanks for your help.

Dear Sitholimela,

As per my knowledge, technical assessment is not include with any projects.
It may include test or small c# code task/test or test on paper.
It totally depends on company to company.
Hope this will help you.
