How to make barcode scanning?

Hey guys,

recently i’ve been trying to get more information about barcode reading and I found some softwares that can work for me. As I am not an expert on this field I’d be very grateful if anyone can help me. I found two SDKs, both named as Barcode Scanner SDK, one from Dynamsoft (I found this on CodeProject) and one from Bytescout. And there is another one, Ozeki Camera SDK, that looks the most promising for the first glimpse, http://www.camera-sdk.com/p_13-download-onvif-standard-ozeki-camera-sdk-for-webcam-and-ip-camera-developments-onvif.html (also found on CodeProject).
Do you guys happen to have any experience with any of these sdks?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

MIcrosoft introduces the MVC and WPF where you can create a project of OCR functionality for a camera based on which technology you prefer.

You have to add the OCR dlls and correspondent APIs. Link is shared below where you can download the code and start understanding further.

If the images you are getting from the camera are high quality and clear enough, it will help whatever SDK you are using to return good results.
I am getting perfect results using leadtools, even if the images are not high quality. As it has image processing functions for enhancing images.

//scan the barcode
string[] datas = Spire.Barcode.BarcodeScanner.Scan("barcode.png");

//show the scan result
this.TextB_ScanResult.Text = datas[0];
