hi,

try this

<asp:Label ID="lblSpellCheck" runat="server" Text ="Test." style="display:none" ForeColor ="Red"></asp:Label>

make visible true

document.getElementById("lblSpellCheck").style.display="block"

make visible false

document.getElementById("lblSpellCheck").style.display="none"

if you are using master page try

document.getElementById("<%=lblSpellCheck.ClientID%>")
