Welcome to the world of WPF - I think you will find it pretty interesting - I know I do.

Here are the places I have found to be most helpful:

This is a great article by Josh Smith that lays out some basics:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dd419663.aspx

Josh also has a fantastic blog:
www.joshsmithonwpf.wordpress.com

I can't get enough of codeproject
www.codeproject.com

Have you heard about Mole?
It's great way to visualize wpf apps and it's really awesome for what I'm doing with WPF at work.
Mole has special features for WPF but works with any .net application
www.molosoft.com

Hope this helps and good luck to you!!

Cheers!

You can try "Beginning WPF 4.5 by Full Example".This book is very helpful for the Beginner.
This book will quickly show you (by full example) how to create fully functional WPF applications using C#, XAML, and Visual Studio 2010 or 2012, SQL Server 2012, LINQ, Entity Framework, and the DataGrid. The examples in this book will include every single line of code that is required to execute. No assumptions will be made.
