In the Days of C++ Borland :) We use to create object like we do today , but for our program not to consume more memory we needed to set the object to null meaning we need to collect garbage, now in .NET there is something we call garbage Collector and it cannot be invoked via code, during the time your program run it will come and collect unused memory. Now this does not mean you have to stop clearing them manually that is why the Finally keyword was left to clear the object references manually. you will never know when it comes you cannot say am trpping garbage collector no.
