If you have Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate, you should have SQL Server 2008 Express as well in that CD. Once you start installing Visual Studio, it will automatically install SQL Server.

No need to follow an order, you can install anyone of them before however it is suggested to install SQL Server first as at the time of installing VS that will be checked and updated if required.

Hope this will help.

Thanks
