Hi Yrajudba,

Looks like you should be able to install SQL Server 2005 on Windows Server 2008, read the system requirement here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506(SQL.90).aspx.

The error you are getting is related with proper credentials and configurations, read it here http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sql_protocols/archive/2006/02/21/536201.aspx .

Thanks

Hi

- The Error "18456" seems to be, You have not created/mapped Windows user (Windows Authentication) in SQL Server.....
- Login into SQL Server using SQL Authentication and create windows login
USE [master]

GO
CREATE LOGIN [MachineName\UserName] FROM WINDOWS WITH DEFAULT_DATABASE=[master]
GO
EXEC master..sp_addsrvrolemember @loginame = N'MachineName\UserName', @rolename = N'sysadmin'
GO
