Diff Build website and public website [Resolved]

Hi,

when we upload the asp.net3.5 project in server
Is it enough to build and upload the files

or need to publish the project and upload ?

Hi,

You use any of the method to upload the application. If you publish the application , all class files, resource files etc are created as dll files. You need to upload that dlls and aspx files. In the case of without publish you need to upload all files include .aspx and .cs. Also project code is secure when you use publish.

Hi Thiru,

When you publsih the code it will give you the dll's and aspx pages and it doesn't include the code files like(aspx.vb/aspx.cs) . so the size wiill be reduced.

if your sever is trusted one then you could upload the entire content.
