Hi All,
I am working as a Software Engineer in the .Net platform for last 6 years.Mostly worked in C#/VB.Net ,ASP.Net 3.5,JavaScript ,HTML,JQuery ,Ajax ,more XML Web service , little bit in WCF and SQL Server 2008. Basically most of my projects are web based. For the first time planning to take Microsoft certification and i need experts advice on this.
Currently interested in the below exams
1.MCTS: Microsoft .NET Framework 4, Web Applications.
2.MCTS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development [No prior experience in SharePoint development]

Or should i concentrate on any sever side technology .

Thanks,

Hello Mac,

SharePoint is something really popping up with good demand so you can go with that.

This article should also give you enough information to start with Microsoft .NET certification - http://www.dotnetfunda.com/articles/article1457-microsoft-certifications-what-why-and-how-.aspx

Thanks

Hey mac, I am a complete fresher and i am also doing a Microsoft certification course for .Net framework 3.5 with WPF and i am loving this course. See according to your experience, i think you should go for .Net certification since you have got very good experience in this field.
But Share Point is a tech which is gng to boom very soon in the market!!! So first think which tech are u most interested in.. If you ask me, then actually i was also suggested to do a certification course for Share Point... but i was interested in learning .Net and want to become a .Net developer.... So my suggestion is first think abt the tech u r interested in, and then move ahead..... I would like to advice you to go for .Net certification exam since you have got a very good experience in this tech... Dont move ahead according to the market requirements, think first about yourself and your interest and then go for it!!!

Regards,
Shivanand Arur.
