hi,
I am using google chrome to execute asp.net apps.
i hope that refresh button does not cause a postback.
but how about other browsers?

also i need a small clarification. what happens when the page is requested ? is the cookie created and stored on the harddisk? or the time it gets posted back?
please help

1) if the Flickering of the Page is the problem , you need to add an UpdatePanel as i did in this videohttp://www.dotnetfunda.com/tutorials/videos/x54-how-to-create-ajax-flicker-free-pages-in-aspnet.aspx

2) A Cookie gets created if your code creates one, if you have a part that creates a cookie on page load , you need to wrap it in a Ispostback check like this

if(!Page.Ispostback)
{
//Only Valid post back
//Create a Cookie
}

<meta http-equiv="Page-Enter" content="blendTrans(Duration=0)">
<meta http-equiv="Page-Exit" content="blendTrans(Duration=0)">
Put the above lines in <head> ...</head> section of your page and try to avoid page flicker

Thanks,
Sanjay
