Hi Pradeep, Hmanjarawala,

Thanks for your reply, you both are saying custom controls are derived form "System.Web.UI.UserControl" class.
In the following link "http://oreilly.com/catalog/progaspdotnet/chapter/ch14.html" saying that "Create a full custom control by deriving from System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebControl."

also find the following link "http://www.geekinterview.com/question_details/19397" in this 12 users are answered in different(most of them saying that "System.Web.UI.Customcontrol").

i am getting confused with all this, please let me know the correct answer with some explanation.
