what is difference between stored procedures and functions?

1.Storedprocedure may or may not return values while function always returns a single value
2.storedprocedure can call function but from function you cannot call storedprocedure
3.Function can be used with select function but storeprocedure is not

hI

1.Procedure have input,output parameters.Functions have only input parameters.
2.We can can handle Exception in Procedure by try-catch block(error-handling) but try-catch block cannot be used in a function.
3.It is possible to manage Transaction in procedure but not in function.
4.Functions can be called from Procedure But Procedures cannot be called from function.
5.Procedure may or may not return one or more value but function must return one value.
