How to remove any partial html coding coming from database.

I am creating a blog project , i am using ajax Editor control to enter data , which is then stored in a table. The blog post will be displayed in the index page. Only the first 250 characters will be displayed in the homepage. The problem i am facing is when i extract the first 250 characters there are chances that some partial html tag is coming as an output, by which the post is not displayed properly. I am getting the data in repeater control which is then passed to DataList control.

Is there some coding in sql thru which i can remove any partial html coding at the end.

select top 3 title , substring(post,0,250) as post from posts

Follow the following steps to create a website in asp.net using visual studio 2010.<br /> <br /> 1. Click <span style="font-weight: bold;">Start &gt; Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 &gt; Microsoft Visual Studio 2010</span><br /> <br /> <img src='aI

what i want is the output to come something like this

select top 3 title , substring(post,0,250) as post from posts
