Hi,

I developed an ASP.NET
Its was containing database connectivity, rss and html
but now i deleted all relevant coding for database, rss
It now contains full of html pages only.

While browsing it displays like (eventhough home.aspx is available):

This webpage is not available

The webpage at http://localhost:1620/sisnew/home.aspx might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown error.

Expecting your valuable reply in this regard.

Did you set that page as a start-up page ?

If you have a resource that was a start-up page and you delete it, VS will still hold on to that resource, so what you need to do is to set a new start-up resource

I hope i understood your problem

Hi Karthik,

My answer is relevant to the question asked for ONLY. Please do not come to your own conclusion before looking into it properly.

For your info. check below URL:

Naimish,

First try to understand the question asked by the member, if you see the links(blogs) posted by you u can very well see those are pointing to the one already hosted sites and trying to access the sites which are already hosted and been used for and gives the same kind of error.

But the question from the member who posted the question is something irrelevant which he has just coded and trying to run the application and see the page its showing the error message.

So you need to provide the answer which is relevant and much more required for the member to over come his issue at the earliest.

Thanks
Karthik

Hi Vuyiswamb,

Yes it is the start-up page.
As per your suggestion - i set another page as start-up page -
But the same error is displaying.

For your information:
This project was running fine in server.
I just updated the address and execute in localhost - its getting that error.
So, yesterday i deleted all bin files in server and uploaded only aspx files and bin
Now its running fine in server - but not in local host.

Please guide me to over come from this issue.
Note: Other projects are working fine in local host.

Expecting your valuable reply.
Thiru.

Hi Naimish,

I had a look on your suggested links (URL),
There; i came to know that many people are facing this error and it seems they are facing it as common for all their application .

But my case is specific to a particular project .
I already mentioned that -- my other asp.net projects are working fine in localhost .
So, its not the common issue relating with asp.net and browser -- Am i right ?

I just sharing my knowledge here with you - please suggest me if i am wrong.

Regards,
Thiru.

Yup...You are right!! I suggested to look at this link because it worth a look.

It's really amazing that everything working fine on server and not on local.

Can you please just give a look at sync of local and sever?? I mean whatever the resource are there on server, does they also exists on local?? is there any difference??

Thanks,
Naimish
