Hello sir

When trying to connect to the SQL SERVER 2005 through Microsoft SQL Server
Management Studio Express, I get the following error:

Cannot connect to (SERVER NAME) which both are on the same machine,
Addtional inforation

A network -Related or instance -specific error ocuured while establising a connection to sql server ,the server was not found or not accessible verify that instance name is correcr and that sql server is configured to allow remaote connection.(provider :named pipes provide ,error40-could not open a coonection to sql server)(microsoft SQL sever,error:2)

this error ocure reply how to solve

Which version of sql 2005 are you using?

your error suggests that remote connections are not enabled on your server installed. you gotta enable remote connections. this should solve your problem.

Good Day Sagarp

The this Error occurs only if you have used the wrong server name. i want you to do to the Following

When you try to Connect n the server Dropdown, click on the
"Browse for more" and it will give you a small dialog box. This dialog box has a tab "Local Servers" collapse the "Database Engine" and it will give you the Correct name of your Server. Double click on it and try to connect again.
