NDFD? (National Weather Database)

Hey, anyone mess around with accessing the National Digital Forecast Database? It uses GRIB2, and I'm going to begin working on making an application that can regularly download the freely available data, parse it, stick it in a database, then display it on our website. Anyone do anything with this before? They (the National Weather Service) told me that it was new and they're excited to find out what I do with it, that makes me think that there might not be too many people working with it, but what about just the data portion?
