Hi, I have an issue I hope someone can help me with. I need to know how to tell my .NET web that I am an authenticated user, without using the .NET login controls.

We use an alternative authentication method through our initial network login into the active directory to authenticate all of our users. I use the following to return the username of the current user:

System.Threading.Thread.CurrentPrincipal.Identity.Name

This provides me the username, but that is all of the information I really have access to. I want to use the .NET membership functionality but I don’t know how to make my web application believe that a user has authenticated through the .NET login controls even though they have not.  I have successfully created all of my active directory users within the membership and users tables but setting roles and access to these web pages will not work because the web site does not think the user has authenticated.

Is there a global variable t ... Go to the complete details ...
