LightSwitch: object reference not set to an instance of an object

When I try to insert an entity I get the message: "Validation errors returned from server.  Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Details: OS: Windows Web Server 2008 R2 SP1 x64
VS 2010, LightSwitch 2011 SQL Server 2008 R2  The Data Source is a database in use also by other production applications;  works OK. I am the Admin of the server and I have access to it via Remote Desktop Connection.
