sainath's Advice on Sunday, November 29, 2009 :
All freshers go through this phase - moreover, although hiring has commenced to some extent, the campus recruitments targeting freshers in bulk is not happening yet. Although the 2 earlier responses mentioned below are not a direct answer to your question, the approach suggested in these responses towards looking for a job will help you as well.

We had predicted on this forum that hiring will begin to pick up in the last quarter of 2009 which has indeed happened. By the 2nd quarter of 2010 things may become even better. I would suggest that you target small companies, take a salary hit if you have to but make sure that you can add some experience on your CV.When recruitments pick up, this will give you a huge advantage. Target newer technologies - Microsoft is planning to launch a series of new technologies in the .Net space, target these. The initial 1-2 years are a bit of a struggle but eventually things look up if you keep raising your skills.

All the best !
