3.Apache httpd is faster than tomcat and has a better virtual host management.

Tomcat
1.Tomcat is a Servlet and JSP Server serving Java technologies.
2.Tomcat is a servlet container.
3.Tomcat is often integrated with Apache to enhance Apache with servlet capabilities and to capitalize on Apache's optimized and robust static-page delivery mechanisms
