how to prevent the repeated items in asp.net

Hi
I have taken source, destination and servicenumber columns in sql and the source, destination are repeated but the servicenumber is different like

source destination servicenumber

hyderabad banglore S 123
hyderabad banglore S 234
hyderabad banglore S 345

Now the thing is when im running the application the source and destination names are repeated as a tease, but i want the item names only once at runtime in dropdownlists. So would you pls help in this.
