How to put dropdown in gridview dynamically from the database?

Hi sir,
I put dropdown list inside the gridview with edit option in gridview. If i press edit button , i want to select the option obtained from the
database.

[Note: I am getting only first option default but not from the database]

I need solution for this problem.

According to me.....you can just place the dropdown list in the gridview template field and set its property visible = false , after that if some one clicks on the edit button then reset its property to true and find out the dropdown list of the selected row and then edit your list items, also possible to add the list item in the drop down list too.
