firstly both are from Microsoft technologies , Sql server and .Net Frame work had high compatibility and we also work on the windows operating system so all the technologies are from Microsoft so there will less compatibility errors thats why we prefer them
These are some more issues why we use sql server

1. Microsoft SQL Server integrates security into the Microsoft Windows Active Directory Security System

2. Microsoft SQL Server can be setup to automatically back up

3. Microsoft SQL Server can do incremental backups which means it can backup during the day rather than just once at night

4. Using Microsoft SQL Server with the Active Directory environment means that your users only need to have one username and only need to logon once

5. Microsoft SQL Server databases cannot easily be duplicated or copied without the SQL Server DBA (DBA stands for Database Administrator) knowing

6. Microsoft SQL Server can handle Terrabytes worth of data where as Microsoft Access is questionable over 1 Gigabyte.

7. Microsoft SQL Server allows you to do some of the system processes on the server via Stored Procedures and DTS (Data Transformation Services) where as Microsoft Access requires the client to do all the processing

We have all the component comes with .NET to work with SQL Server and eventhough .net have option to connect to any database, it is more flexiable to work with SQL using .NET

Hi Rajesh,

Because of the falllowing the sql server is more reloable and flexible,
1.Running a Sql server database costs much less than running an Oracle database
2. Sql server databases are also very friendly, simple to install and easy to administer.
3.Sql Server database administrators are relatively inexpensive, costing the company only 90k to 110k in salary per employee per year. Oracle database administrators, however, are quite expensive costing the company 110k to 200k in salary per employee per year. And even then, high quality Oracle database administrators can be difficult to find

Thanks,
UmaR
