How to extract 4 charcter 'DE' - A.B.C.DE.F in stored procedure

Hey I want to extract the character DE from the string A.B.C.DE.F .
I have passed this string as a variable @Extractstring in my SP.

Please advice me on how I could go about this situation. Is there a strip function or something that I could use.
