difference between winforms and webforms

Winform = exe (Runs Locally on your machine)

webforms = Web (hosted on a webserver)

Win forms are hosted and deployed in a your local machine while web application must be hosted in IIS server ( in asp.net case). If you have designed you win form in 3 tiers architecture you can reuse data access layer and business layer, but you must redefine Presentation layer.
