Ping request time between app server and database server.

Between application server and database server, database connection is not happaning. if i ping to each server ,request time out message.
what would be the cause . firewall is off both side. web.config file is perfect.

please guide on this.

0	If you cannot reach another machine with a ping, then step out of your application and try to fix the network problem first. if the ping works then you can go to the application.
