how to down a asp.net website for a particular time in IIS?

Hi sir,
I hosted the asp.net website in IIS 8.1, its working fine. I need to down the particular website between 10pm to 12 pm for maintenance purpose. Is it possible? Kindly give me the solution for this problem.

Hi Prabu,

Thanks for asking question.

I would not recommend completely down the website for a particular period as if its a public website it gives wrong impression. Instead you can do following.

In the Global.asax, in Application_onBeginRequest or alike event, check for the time before allowing to proceed further and if the time falls in between your specified time, redirect the user to a default error page to maintenance page.

This should be the ideal solution, making the website completely unavailable is not good either for end user or for search engines.
