There might be the issue for the DirectoryEntry path.

Are you trying to get the user details from the DirectoryEntry with proper user cardinals?

So when are you getting the error? at which place?

Can you please mention your the error line in your code?

Hey thanks for replying.

I got that error.

now I am trying to search user role in e-directroy
because if it is admin i want to navigate on other page .
but i cant understand how to find it?
how to write query?
now i am finding in objectclass=inerorgPerson cn=user
but it returns true if I changed to cn=admin

for some security reason I don't have full info about directroy structure.
so is there any another way to check user role or any query to for searching?

again I want to ask is "sAMAccountname" available as in e-directroy as login name..?

is e-directroy structure is different ?
meanse value of cn, sn are different as directroy changes..?
