When I kept my DropDownList control with ClientIDMode=static inside the UpdatePanel, the update panel stopped working, the whole page was getting refreshed, but when I removed the ClientIDMode attribute from my DropDownList, the update panel starts working.
My dropdownlist had autopost back true and onSelectedIndexChanged I was firing server side event. Is this behavior known to all or there is something missing between UpdatePanel and ClientIDMode?
I feel these is no missing part however want to share my experience.
Please let me know your experience with this.
